1986 BMW 635 CSi
SOLD VIA THIS WEBSITE
low mileage, original 635 CSi. A WA-delivered car, having done just
82,000km, with one previous owner. The current owner bought the car 15 years
ago from the original owner. There is a documentation file with the car with
service history, plus the original handbooks are with the car. It features
all that the top of the line BMW of the era could include, with electric
sunroof, power Recaro seats, leather trim, automatic transmission, power
windows, power steering, alloy wheels, etc. An optional BMW Motorsport
leather steering wheel is fitted. Significantly, the car is very original,
still wearing its original paint. It has never been accident damaged. The
present owner is a BMW enthusiast, with five in his collection at present.
He has used the 635 as a ‘Sundays only’ car and has put only 12,000km on the
car in his 15 years of ownership. It has been exhibited at the Celebration
of the Motorcar show, by invitation.
attractive car in a good colour scheme of bright Zinnobar Red with buffalo
hide leather – the bright red colour does not show up properly in most of
These 3.5-litre models have a very smooth engine giving 218bhp and provide
performance, matched to very well balanced handling.
These cars are still quite
affordable and great value, while their predecessor has doubled in value in
the last two years. This car would be one of the best, most original

1973 BMW 2002 Touring
hatchback version if the 2002 that was never sold in Australia. Built between
1971 and 1974 only, the Touring was only offered in Europe and England. 14,980
were built (out of over 700,000 of the 02 series cars). It is widely regarded as
one of the key predecessors of the hot hatch. This factory RHD car was imported
from the UK in 1988 by a well-known enthusiast. The current owner bought the car
15 years ago. Documentation with the car includes the original UK service book
and service history through various owners to current. In the file is a
Concessional License inspection sheet from 2013 which the car passed with a tick
in every box. Areas of criticism: A concern with any English import is rust.
The owner advises that the car has no significant rust, and there are sections
of the underbody which have been plated. Only a couple of very small areas of
rust are visible on the exterior. The paintwork in several sections is in need
of attention, with some flaking and poor touch-ups. As you can see from the
photos, the car is not unsightly, but a buyer is likely to want to rectify the
paint issues. A couple
of the pieces of aluminium external trim have small dents.
Hardware such as the bumpers, grilles, badges, etc are good. The rear hatch
struts need re-gassing. The owner says everything works and the car has been
very reliable and properly maintained. The interior of the car would benefit
from tidying up also. Nothing appears to be missing or broken. The front seats
have been replaced with Recaro-style sports seats, however the original seats
are to be supplied with the car. The owner advises there was no change made to
the seat runners. The split folding rear seat was a novelty in the early ‘70s.
The car starts easily and drives well. It shows 25,000 miles on the odometer,
presumably 125,000. This is a very rare version of an increasingly desirable and
valuable model. It is believed there would be less than half a dozen 2002
Tourings in Australia. Only five are currently registered in the UK. Overseas a
Touring has long been more valuable than a sedan and values are strong,
particularly in continental Europe. The owner has priced the car with
consideration of the fact that cosmetic
work is required. The asking price is $16,500.

This car is a superior example, in a desirable colour
scheme. Values of these last of the R107s have been steadily increasing in
the past couple of years. Most were sold in the USA and only Australia and
Japan got right-hand-drive 560SLs.
Beautifully built, powerful and well equipped.
Peak of the R107s.
This car has known
history, with lots of documentation. It was delivered new in Perth by Diesel
Motors. Three previous owners, current owner has had it for six years. He
has always lavished attention on it. Receipts for over $27,000 of work done
on the car. Most recent was reconditioned transmission late last year. The
car has always been extremely reliable. Everything works as it should on the
car, even the clock. Air con was overhauled a year and a half ago. Wheels
have been refurbished and look perfect. Dash top has been replaced, new
rubbers for doors, boot, soft top installed. Brakes rebuilt, new shock
absorbers, new radiator, etc. Properly maintained. There are all the books
with the car, plus a file of work carried out by current and previous owner
and first aid kit, etc.
The car presents very nicely inside and out. Metallic
burgundy with black interior colour scheme suits it well, far better than
the common white or grey. Only criticism would be the paint on the front –
small stone chips, plus the bonnet is a very slightly different shade of
burgundy – has been painted before for stone chips and has faded
differently. Also a couple of small marks on bumper rubbers. Aside from
this, it’s a very clean, correct, original example. All lights, chrome, etc,
are good. Leather is excellent as is carpet,
including in the boot. Starts easily from cold, no smoke or anything
untoward. 173,000km. Definitely does not need restoring!

remarkable early car, eligible for the London-Brighton Run, which it has
completed several times. Most significantly, this car has never been
restored ! The mudguards have been repainted but otherwise the car has
been maintained but not restored. The original 6HP engine has been
removed from the car - it runs and will be sold with the car. In its
place is a De Dion 8HP motor, which provides significantly more
performance, but still very much in keeping with the 1904 car. The car
starts easily and runs reliably, having been used in many veteran
rallies. The owner is happy to coach a buyer in the techniques for
driving this historic car. Car in Perth. Check values against De Dions

1997 Subaru WRX
The 1997 Subaru WRX GC8 was
purchased by me in 1999 from the supplying Dealer, Gunnings of Kadine
South Australia who had sold the vehicle new in June 1997, thus having
had the one previous owner. I was living in South Australia at that
time. If you are looking for a modified, noisy, average to abused
vehicle, this is not the car for you. The car has been very carefully
and sensibly driven by an experienced lady owner who’s occupation is as
a Professional Driver and who cosseted and cared for the car from
purchase. This was my week-end toy and pride and joy. Unfortunately
times change and the arrival of family and a company car means the WRX
has been languishing in the garage, as with busy children there is no
time for week-end cruising. The car has only covered 158,000 km but in
the last 10 years has covered only 10,000km. The car presents in
Excellent Original condition with no problems or vices, it has a
complete documented Service History from new and if you know your cars
the GC8 WRX is the “classic” definitive WRX Icon. It is with a great
deal of sadness that I part with the vehicle I have owned for 17 years
but a lack of garage space for intended house renovations means no
choice. The WRX deserves a good new home. The car has recently had a
full service and is ready to go. Any inspection is welcome for
interstate buyers and Transport at your cost can be arranged. No
Scammers or Test Pilots. No Swaps please. I don’t want to waste your
time or mine. Contact Gill - Vehicle is located in Kingsley, WA. Asking $8500
