NOTES TO SELLERS: Beware of scammers
who typically cannot inspect your car (often they're 'in the military', 'away
working in South-East Asia', 'working at sea', or 'buying for a relative'), who
ask for chassis numbers, condition, price or other details which may already have been stated in
your advertisement, who want your PayPal or bank details and barely negotiate on
price... (or even offer your full asking price or more 'to cover shipping'). If
it feels like a scam, it probably is a scam... Please advise when your car
has been sold.

1966 Mercedes-Benz 250SE - $23,900 ono
These beautifully made S-Class models are well known for being great country cruising cars and able to last, seemingly forever. This fine example was delivered new in Melbourne and is now with just its third owner. Clearly, it’s always been cherished. Each of the previous owners kept the car for over twenty years. second owner brought the car to Perth when he moved here over a decade ago. The current owner bought the car from him seven years ago. He has had work done on the front suspension, steering column selector bushes and cooling system including a new water pump. The previous owner had upgraded the air conditioning system. It has bright red MB-Tex upholstery, which looks as dramatic today as it would have in 1966 – and remains in excellent condition. Mesh air intake grilles have been fitted at the front – a popular option in period and white sidewall tyre set the car off well. There are some minor blemishes, but considering it’s 56 years old, the car has stood the test of time extremely well, looking very good throughout. The hardware inside and out are generally excellent. Inside, the woodwork on the dashboard and surrounding the windows, is in good condition, the abundant chrome trim excellent and the owner advises everything works. The exterior presents very well too, with good brightwork, rubbers and fittings in good condition. Registered 1ENL687. Act quickly as this car will get a lot of interest. 1977 Pontiac Trans Am - $84,500 ono
Special Edition W72 - Everyone remembers the great Smokey and the Bandit movie starring a Pontiac Trans Am and today, the correct model is highly sought after. This very tidy, original and correct example was brought to WA from the USA by the current owner 11 years ago. It’s the same top-of-the-line model as used in the movie, not a dressed-up Firebird. The W72 version features upgraded suspension, machine finished alloy wheels, gold-tone engine-turned dash panel and a three-spoke Formula steering wheel with gold spokes. It has the correct 400-cu in (6.6-litre) V8, as denoted by a special badge on the shaker hood scoop. Note that Californian smog regulations had cars delivered in that state fitted with a less powerful Oldsmobile engine, which this car does not have. The owner purchased the car from Florida in 2011 having had a specialist Trans Am company check the car over. He had them fit a new interior as it has been showing some wear, before shipping the car to Perth. There are some small marks on the bodywork and a couple of minor items not working, however the car presents very well overall and drives extremely well. The big V8 purrs and provides ample performance, while the body remains tight and rattle-free. It’s clearly been well looked after and maintained. This is a matching numbers car, correct in all ways and unmodified. The only change is fitment of a new old-style radio, which has DAB and blue tooth, and fits the style of the car perfectly. The original owner’s handbook and build sheet are with the car, as well as invoices from during the current ownership. This Trans Am retains its removable glass Hurst Hatches, often replaced with inferior units. The original vinyl satchel for keeping these in remains with the car too. The air conditioning works effectively. The number plates BANDDIT can go with the car to a WA buyer. 1931 Chrysler CM 6 Deluxe Sedan
- $47,500 ono
Believed to be the only example in Australia, this stylish
car has been the subject of a multi award winning restoration. It features a
3.6-litre 6-cylinder motor and hydraulic brakes, meaning it quite easily
performs well on the road. Factory options include wire spoke wheels, an
external sun visor and three roll-up blinds for the rear compartment. There are
a lot of nice touches, including wind down rear side windows and a folding
luggage rack. Personally imported in 1990 by someone who was a Chrysler dealer
from 1948 until the company’s demise in Australia as a sound, running car, it
has proven extremely reliable since its restoration was completed. It comes with
a box of trophies the car has won, plus a violin case with (replica) machine
gun. It’s a beautifully presented car which would cost twice the asking price to
restore to the condition it’s in.

1927 Studebaker Dictator
- $27,500 ono PRICE REDUCED
A large and well-equipped, 4-litre, 6-cylinder model these
Studebakers had a reputation for robustness. This car was comprehensively
restored for participation in the Bicentennial Rally and ran Perth to Canberra
and back. It has since been retained and well maintained by the same owner, who
has now owned the car for 35 years. It’s always proven reliable and comfortable.
A rare and very desirable California Hardtop is fitted – and probably was always
fitted to this car. It was an expensive option in period and offers better
weather protection and comfort without a full-steel sedan body. This also
features retractable spring-loaded, roll-up side curtains. Other nice details
include cowl-mounted sidelights and a high-quality stainless steel radiator
mascot. It’s still proudly wearing the rally plates from the Bicentennial Rally.
The owner says that of all the many vintage and classic cars he’s owned, this
Studebaker has always been the most reliable and a firm favourite. But he’s now
approaching his mid-80s and has decided to sell off some of his old cars. This
car offers the benefits of a quality restoration and proving itself over many
years. VCC1927 is believed to be the only example in Western Australia.

1925 Willys-Overland Whippet Roadster
Here is your chance to own an extremely unique, vintage 1927 Overland Whippet Roadster! Top down fun like never before! The car has had a complete overhaul and restoration approximately 20 years ago and was previously owned by a vintage car collector in Western Australia. This Holden factory bodied Whippet, in fairly good condition has travelled less than 100 kms since my ownership starting four years ago. Replaced engine oil, coolant and differential fluid about halfway through. Electric starter motor gear has been replaced. 3 forward gears 1 reverse gear for easy cruising down towards Fremantle! Fully operational mechanical drum brakes for your safety. Motor is a sidedraft carburetted 4-cylinder leaded petrol unit. Runs great once warmed up and timing is adjusted accordingly. Untouched spare tyre with cover mounted on the rear bumper and foldable luggage rack. Huge, lockable boot space for wet weather side curtains and engine crank handle. Has a modern temperature gauge fitted for your convenience. Front windscreen folds upwards for wind-in-your-face experience! Headlights, tail lamps and indicators work. All four, two-piece wooden wheels in great shape. Most importantly, the [WHIPPET] number plates will come with the car. This car is no way in perfect shape. Foldable soft top needs work as hinges have been painted over from restoration (can be removed as a whole piece for open top driving). Seats are still springy and comfy, but has a tear in the vinyl. Wiper motor has seized. Paint needs a little work. I have hopes this car will stay in Western Australia, but if shipping is required at your own expense, I will be happy to work something out with you. Asking $25,000 ono. Total cost of restoration was in excess of $100,000. The car is the 2014/2015 WA MG car club Concours De Elegance winner and the national winner in 2016.
